Really In Vermont
I’ve spent but one night in Vermont prior to this trip. I can only remember being in the state a few times: back in the day as the bike leg in a triathlon in Colchester with M R as the runner and Mme J as the swimmer; passing through from NH to NY in ‘96 (?); not too long after to see Aunt L and the horse farm; also we saw Mme Awesome’s grandmother though maybe that was part of the prior trip?; the one time itself at an inn with Mme Awesome and her mother; and then the now. To be precise, I’ve spent time in the surrounding states relative to Vermont.

The hills are lovely and I’m glad to be enjoying the colors. First time in person actually.
The roads to get here have been steep and full of turns. If there is a stop sign, the odds are it is at the base of some hill that probably has a 10% grade. One of them, over 2.5 miles, had two emergency runaway truck turnouts. How many crashes did it take to have them built?
We biked some at Mt. Snow. Not the lift assisted stuff; weather permitting that’s tomorrow. Where we rode was no doubt mapped so the park can say it has trails for all abilities.
We used the shower. Really nice.
