Take It Where You Find It
We drove on a curvy road for hours. Really curvy, though rarely more than 45 degrees of turn. Which gave me lots of time and opportunities to practice the weight shifts needed for juicy turns. Improving mechanics improves strength, and I confess freely to having room for improvement.
Big surprise, I found my weaker and less mobile side wasn’t mirroring my stronger, either in terms of powering on whatever side plank requires or body position through the turn.
This extra drive showed up as, due to construction, no vehicles longer than 22′ are able to pass on the road between the campgrounds we planned on staying as we entered and the next, near our exit. Would I have had this very positive experience otherwise? By the way, the bus is 23′.
Trailside attraction.

Post super long drive turned into a walk in Redwood Canyon amongst the giant sequoias. Quiet and majestic. All the big guys had at least some of their crazy durable lower bark charred. Later, we reread the cones won’t release the seed without the heat from the inevitable forest fire, which also brings sunlight and clears competing flora.
Do you see the bus?
