Spent hours waiting in line at the DMV today. Here are some “must have” items if you’re ever planning on participating in this most grueling event.

1. Chair – The line is so slow that you’ll only have to move it a few times an hour
2. Umbrella for sun – Oakland April sun is intense and the DMV unfortunately can’t afford shade
3. Headphones to drown out the peeps standing in front of you who agree, among other related topics of conjecture, that this is a great country and the government is doing the right stuff to protect our interests, all the while being shown that no one in government cares about them witness the wait time and our treatment during the wait
4. Enough food and water for hours
