Prophecies
Remember stories where a certain person is destined to do something or other, knows of said destiny, and holy smokes it comes to pass? Is destiny something we live into regardless of awareness or was the suggestion what got the ball rolling? Are we talking about free will? Does it matter?
We learned of Crazy Horse’s prophecy foreshadowing the native people’s reuniting in the Heart Of All That Is from Chief Izzy. In it, the path of the peoples to the Heart Of All That Is, renamed as the Black Hills by the newcomers, will include explicitly named rivers.
Our route to the Heart Of All That Is happens to include stops at these river’s headwaters. Of course they’re magical spots: they’re the birthplace of that which transcends our own existence and gives life to countless. We look to such places for serenity, good times and rejuvenation, and rely on their dependable and essential water.
The Tour is of course all about water. Our part is to fundraise, provide assistance along the way and organize the needed pieces for the Teyuna to come to the US and collaborate with native peoples here to perform pagamento (payment) to these places which in turn support these wonders which permit our existence.
I rode the Meadowdale Raceway Woods trails again. Much improved on the turns. I especially need to remember to bend that outside leg and add a bit of corkscrew motion. When that happened I felt great. This guy really moves that bike yow!
I also found some connector trails to shorten the climbing time and noticed that the paved paths would make getting to the top, as high as high happens to be, less of a chore.
We had another nice ride along the river around dusk.
A stop along the way.
