From Oklahoma to Texas to New Mexico to Colorado. You betcha. Some of the route included passage on imaginatively named boulevards such as Texas Beef Road and Nitrite Road. Plus it’s summer again.

Seriously, we drove past mammoth lots full of cattle no doubt on their way to being divided up into hygienic plastic and cellophane. I mean countless corrals each several acres in size. Apparently the methane from their numbers is a significant cause of climate change. It was another confirmation our decision a few months ago to cease eating beef was a good one.

We slept last night at Skipout Campground near Reydon, OK. Very peaceful and lovely to eat our breakfast outside the sun.
