Where The Weather Suites My Clothes
We keep being 2-3 days from home. Now we’re en route to Sequoia National Park, arriving after dark. Tomorrow we’ll see some magnificence, spend another night and then, maybe I guess, head back.
Today en route we stopped to enjoy the Kern River. Neither of us have been this far south in the Sierras; the mix of golden grass and granite is a sight to behold. After a steep walk down we enjoyed the river. Zeke even took a dip.

Mysteriously, the check engine light turned itself off? This is after some hard driving yesterday too. Plus, we were 2 miles more per gallon than last fill up. Plus Apple maps was correct and google maps not. What’s going on?
I’m the passenger now. On a very twisty road. As long as I’m not looking out a window and stay focused on my phone, no nausea. If I take a break to look out, bleck.

I remember from The Right Stuff one of the Air Force pilots was headed down, out of control and in a spin. The author explained the ability to stay 100% focused on the instrument panel and thus never looking out a window was what kept the pilot able to ultimately correct the situation, an example of right stuff.
One of the lessons of the seven months is while the extra large size container of soy sauce may save some pennies per ounce, the small bottle will last a lifetime.
