At The Casino
Yeah I’m in a casino parking lot for the night. Saves an hour of driving. Despite being right by I10, it is still not as loud as last night, with the phenomenal winds rocking the bus. Winds aside, it gorgeous. Now it’s cold. By that I mean freezing up just a little higher and not much warmer here. My prediction is I’ll no doubt wear those chainsaw ear protection things again and unlike last night they’ll be forgotten once they slip off.

I took a detour to check out the Salton Sea. A bunch of signs saying no trespassing past the road was uninspiring. Truthfully it wasn’t much. I snapped a photo anyway. The town was one Price Reduced! for sale sign after another. Couldn’t guess on whether much of the others, as of yet unlabeled, were actually inhabited.

Further north the palm trees arrive, then citrus and who knows what. More water being distributed than that dilapidated town back there sees in a decade. Then comes communities who have gardeners tending to the flowers and grasses and fruit trees which continue with high and tasteful walls or exceptionally high and impossible to see through hedges blocking the homes themselves with guarded entrances. One section of road had a vehicle lane, a bike lane, for walking and one for horses. LOL.

I did ride today. Still tired and I cut it short. Down was fun if not kinda loose; I was basically just pushing my bike up and up and up after a while. Zzzzzzz basically.

Some food and now I’m at the casino. You need a card to play, maybe for age verification. If there are machines that woulda taken my quarter, I missed them.
