Getting Close To Solstice Folks
Place is still under construction, yeah it is still as true as ever. I did return M P’s fancy aluminum scaffolding today and the siding is mostly up and painting not far behind. That’s longhand for closer than ever.
This year though, definitely predominately spent honing my carpentry skills. Glad the house is somewhere nice. Doing this in a mountainous and much more isolated town would be a different experience vis-à-vis materials were one to consider such an event.
The unwanted Specialized bike seat shows the effects of being left alone for a mighty long time save for an inquisitive finger. Note the tires still have some air! That’s good news for the sealant. I’m feeling amped to get back on and ride. Rain tomorrow night…. maybe something finally on Friday.
The bus is at a gear shop which the owner Peter pleasantly told me doesn’t do electrical or frankly anything else but rear axle related stuff. Ok! The call yesterday was good in that the differential is in good shape. Alas there are no limited slip differentials for the bus’ Dana 70HD!!!! He said he may have some options. We’ll see. Regardless it’ll be a positive change to have a functioning emergency brake again.
