One of My Responsibilities
We moved from a place with and dishwasher to a place without. There was a time when washing dishes was out of the question, due to – no kidding – a college injury. Actually that injury prompted a long term exploration of how and why my body might be moving a particular way and look for clues and means to make that movement easier / stronger / better. When I am 50, I’ll be past living half my life with a gimpy hip.
Back to the purpose of this post… Without a dishwasher we wash more dishes by hand. This post is for sure being added to the Facts category, you’ll see. We use a cloth under the dish rack because we have a ton and the counter can handle being wet.
Unluckily, with all those dishes that cloth never gets a chance to dry. Luckily, I put in a long rod which is used to hold a spare cloth for the dish rack, among other kitchen related textiles.
I make it possible for that wet cloth to dry by switching it out with the dry one.
BOOM
