Yesterday and today I did the Joaquin Miller shuttle ride. Today included an extension down a park running alongside Park Avenue. I rendezvoused with Mme. Awesome at Farmer Joes by 580.

The ride takes me through redwoods, over creeks, has great corners and rocks too!

I drop off Mme. Awesome partway up the hill, and then finish the drive to the top. She walks circuitously up through the forest almost exclusively on hikers only trails.

I then ride the mostly-down route to the bottom where she picks me up. Super fun.

The very recent addition of the “park running alongside Park Avenue” has made it feel like a full on ride. There is a great DH section where in some places 4x4s have been placed as stairs. They’re maybe off kilter, on corners and randomly spaced, meaning good fun. Alas it’s a carry a bike up the stairs on the other side. ?

I’ve ridden these trails several times with M JL, M LC and M AW. Some weeks I’ve ridden here 4 times. Great to have the park so close.
