Back Under the Stars
We left the house and drove to Brownlow Trails where Mme Awesome had a coaching session. I heard it was great and afterwards we discussed the complexities involved in turning.
While that was happening, I road up and back down the undulating and twisty 347 – Willow. It reminded me of Lake Tahoe and the sierras in general of that area: large granite slick rock, manzanita, boulders and at times sandy. The subtle berms made plain the care put into the trail.
After chicken, greens and coleslaw from our stay, we stopped at a bakery and savored a sweet roll, brownie and espresso. Delish!
Then, suddenly, we were driving to Sedona. I mean just like that. And then we were there. And it was raining and had been most of the trip and does that mean we are camping in the rain? Woah too much too soon.
We were spared our night in the rain; the sun reappeared and and warmth enveloped us. We have a nice spot with a view of the Sedona red rocks and the clean sheets are luxurious.
In bed, we reminisced about eating in Argentina: succulent, phenomenal tasting and beyond tender meats; superb coffee which comes with a biscuit and sparkling water by default; choice wines; and sensible, proper portions. I mean, the wait staff cuts the steak with spoons at the table when serving. One steak is shared with 3 people. Best food ever.
