Super slow day. Only stuff worth writing about is I checked in with Mme DK, who shared a terrific pic of her 14 month old little girl. I made it to the store to get stuff and starting slow cooking some meat. And I napped.

The yard’s report on the bus came back, confirming there is indeed rust and some lights don’t work. The truth is I am unimpressed with what I got back. I assumed the inspection would get into the drive train and surely report back the brake issue from the test ride. When I inquired as to the front brakes I learned it was a “no drive” test.

I still like the bus. The rust doesn’t appear to have damaged the frame and surely some elbow grease can take care of it. The unwanted and nonfunctional wheelchair lift featured prominently in the report, so no big deal there. The Carfax report showed regular maintenance until about 6 months ago, probably when the place bought it. Given that I am under the weather and I have a hold on the bus with the $500 deposit, I’m postponing the call to negotiate.
