Demo Days
The almond butter I have here is runny. While I’m used to various viscosities as brands and temperatures change, don’t knock over a jar of this stuff and expect to save much. I pour it on the bread like olive oil. Which obviously makes for drippy sandwiches. And messy plates. Thankfully it is tasty.
Another funny thing involves the 2 pairs of pants I picked up from Salvation Army, which totaled $11. I found a dollar bill in one of the pockets, meaning I got 9% off. Price match that!
The way it was.

The way it is.

Apparently the nonfunctional wheelchair lift is about 400 lbs of vertical metal and held on by 4 rusted together bolts which look like they have to be ground off from under the bus. I’ve read online that scrap metal places and folks who use them may take it off for the parts at their location. I like that idea!! I also got a quick reply on what to do about the lift’s electrical, which was to follow any wires back to their source and disconnect. When said this rings with the obviousness of truth.
That’s also going to happen tomorrow when the rubber and plywood, save the sheet supporting the wheelchair lift. are removed. Everyone is hushed and holding their breath as the amount of rust is revealed. Place your bets!!
Another photo of the overflowing Fox River. The closest I could get and not be forever sunken.

Today was hot, maybe small bit of wind. Frankly it is never too windy, not like the Bay Area that is. Or Las Vegas. Or the Mojave. I don’t even want to think about that!
