Inching Closer
Working on cars is one of those difficult to do things. I mean I’m very hesitant and reluctant. I’m ok with wood. Sewing is a nonstarter. Trepid though I am, I can work through it in the kitchen. Always super slow though. And in need of an upgrade if I am ever going to enjoy tea, eggs and toast together.
Today was a lot about removing seat belts. The bolts are tough and assembled with strong arms. I have been made a believer in lock washers. These guys, applied so tightly, genuinely rip into the nut and made their mark on my fingers. I finally, meaning first time in my life, bought some spray that releases stuck together stuff like that. It worked and we’ll be riding with those cool, genuine school bus seat belts. Safety and style first!
Alas the brackets attached to the floor which hold seats, like The One Ring, are not so easily undone. The product says to spray and soak, up to 3 times if necessary. I’m on number 2. Still, definitely movement forward in other areas. Get this: I stripped not the bit but rather the newly purchased adapter that bridges the bit and chuck on one of them. It’s looking like I’ll be drilling them out.
Jay got back to me with a garage down his way. I’ll make an appointment to have the fluids changed.
Diesel and bio-diesel….. not very clear consensus online. I should get the manual and see what it says.
I was visited by a wasp, a bee and a dragonfly over the day. Everyone found their way out peacefully.
The lift really does run off a second battery like the forum guy said. How cool is that? It is essentially hanging on the I beam by a bracket. A ready made, exceptionally ventilated location for a domestic battery. Sweet as!
The best is Yay Mme Awesome is back!!!!!
So like you guys know I only do the abbreviation stuff to let my readers know when I’m in nonfiction mode, right?
