Upon rising, i summoned the courage to investigate the non functional turn signal, a consequence of the dangling light incident a few days ago. As I was about to step out the front door and maybe cobble together some fix, I passed our host, Mme E, and in our good mornings shared what I was about to tackle. Lo! M D, who turned out to be a wizard called upon for a different issue, stepped up and proceeded to give a real life master class on troubleshooting and resolution. Two of the fixes involved soldering; there was plenty of multi meter activity; and the grounded perspective and confidence which leads to a methodical progression was mesmerizing.

Then there was the way M D moved, communicated and was: calm, pleasant and present. Add to the curriculum a way of life.

I was happy to provide some assists, including flashlight detail as needed. My single largest contribution was getting some relay part thing at an auto store an hour away.

Needlessly to say, we are again fully functional.

Time moves on and our next steps are already being taken. One of them is dropping off the truck, bikes and some odds and ends at CC, where we will be returning following the pick up in Albuquerque.

What a surprise!! M T, who was also in St. Charles, says hello while I’m sitting inside a restaurant and suddenly we are eating with a crowd that knows all about and is a part of the upcoming fun. Another small world moment.
