Families
Here in NJ we are for sure staying with a family. The attention given and commitment to parenting is just beautiful.
We took a field trip to the swimming pool with the girls. A great place to find relief.
You can see all kinds of peeps from the side of the wall. Really, that was me today: one of those people I used to wonder about vis a vis pool enthusiasm. It was straight up pleasant to hang out in the cool water.
Back to the peeps. Such as the kid who keeps jumping on to the pool noodle, getting out and repeating. Real time deja vu. Or the slow swimmers and the exuberant teenager who follows the harder must be faster school of thought. There was a woman suspended by two pool noodles reading the paper. Four girls took turns launching each other. A woman, I mean shark, was covered in little kids and pool noodles.
The lifeguards rotated on the regular. Like every 30 minutes there’d be a new person in the chair. Is that common? The others were often close by or in the pool and still made sure no one was walking around wearing flippers (illegal) or jumping on to the floating basketball hoop (also illegal).
