Roots, Rocks, Reggae
Today I road most of the blue trails at Chimney Rock-Washington Valley Park. Perhaps more accurate to say the three loops on the northwest half.
Trailforks has, I’d guess, 65% of the section in which I travelled. Perhaps more accurate to say the place is the maziest I’ve experienced.
Lots of roots and rocks. Lots and lots. All the things necessitating el bike flicking plus some good corners and nice though all to brief downhill sections added up to tons of fun.
Along the way on the last loop. So lush and green.

I didn’t ride the lines which require looking at the other side of things prior to the experience like the stacks of logs or boulder rollovers due to my tendency to not want to stop. I’m going to start doing the legwork and ride those guys, guys.
To summarize, a great day of riding.
We then all went out, accompanied by Mme D’s brother and father, to an Italian place and then to ice cream. Perfect post ride refuel and wow terrifically tasty.
By the way Mme D’s brother and father showed up with 124 pounds of different spicy peppers, mostly in five gallon buckets.
Have you ever seen so many peppers at once?
