In Honor Of The Final Chapter
10 folks will be riding in the bus on this trip barring some interruption. We currently have seatbelts for 7, meaning time to shake up the bus and get Calcifer to add 3 more.
Shoulder Rehabilitation, Part 1
Firstly, I’m glad to be able to say this time is not as bad as the preceding three. (In descending age: rugby tackle on to that shoulder which sucked the most because the bone itself was bruised and took a while to recover; then one fateful swing at batting practice; finally the same cause as yesterday only more severe. Gruesome list, right?) So yes, with attention I was able to do a bunch of stuff today ok and the rest either figure out some compensation that’d get me through or ask for help.
Evening session was a bunch of minimal movement cat cow, working on getting both hips articulating evenly. Followed with rolling a small ball under my left rhomboid area. Then palms up, hands a bit away corpse pose. Consistently a top shelf position from which to look into where I am at. I did plenty of gentle rubbing around my left shoulder, pec and serratus, finding great relief when the latter was massaged. Which led to something like cat cow except on my back and all directions. Back to my sertatus. Hamstring stuff. Serratus. Etcetera.
To recap, spending time being in a position where I can comfortably and safely compare each side and then working towards achieving balance or finding where massage increases comfort and/or range of motion and returning to the spot several times.
