High Rollers
We are back to spending the night at a rest area. Extremely civilized, darling.
At long last, we have left New England. It’s been over a month since we showed up. Many terrific people. Wonderful times. Won’t miss the parkways or mud. Great to see friends and family. Looking forward to next year.
Speaking of weather, we stayed in an old house the last two nights. The humidity hasn’t been kind to the wood; much is warped. Including the ancient doors, making locking them an epic feat. Today, for the close, I pushed from the inside while Mme Awesome pulled and turned from the porch; I slipped out an always open window. Will it be possible to unlock it? The handle latch doesn’t engage, which means the door swings open unless locked.
Here in Allentown, PA in mid October it is 72 F at 10:30 PM. 13 degrees warmer than Oakland or Albuquerque.
