Kitchen Takes Shape
Every day I’ve been spending time on the bus kitchen. So far all reused or garage sourced wood and hardware. To be precise, 3 different types of hinges and what an assortment of screws. All cuts done in the to be kitchen area, which is 4 1/2 by 8 feet and by now covered in sawdust, boards, partially completed lower cabinets, a shovel and the still unused pitchfork and ax picked up 13k miles ago for all the sweats.
Looking back at the upper cabinets and shelving running crosswise. The stubs of wood sticking up from the shelves are attached to the metal via screws and silicone caulk. Formerly, tapping the metal would make for loud booms; now there is a dull thud. I think these booms are a contributor to the incredible noise level at highway speeds.

I’m struggling to find a spot for two lovely copper pipes from somewhere. In the garage kitchen I used one as a towel rack; maybe that’ll be what happens here. Or door pulls perhaps.
The ground less damp courtesy of some spectacular sun has made for always fun biking at Joaquin Miller a couple of times.
At last I really needed to change the rear pads. After the mega decent from pikes peak, which among other things resulted in a scorched rear rotor, I’ve been wondering when today would come.
Chocolate is too cold most of the time now that it’s winter temps, so I’ve taken to putting the bar in a pocket for a bit before enjoying.
By the way.
