It Arrived Today
The bus fridge came this morning. So early, actually, I was barely up. I took apart the nearly trashed outer box to find a better looking inner box.
That means April 4, when the thing was estimated to ship and thus surely still some days from our departure, is, currently, clearly not an important date.
Either way, today’s efforts resulted in the bed-end storage becoming both nearly finished and ready for the road. Meaning that while gravy items, such as cup holders and the usb charger outlet, are cool, they’d better lead to more consistent top shelf times if building whatever it is means delays.
Definitely happening are the propane storage place, some more sound reduction activities, water tank and all things downstream related, and the countertop. Plus stuff I’m having the pros do: welding to fix rust, a few small repairs that may be all the not working parts that came with the vehicle, and of course some new tires. It would be nice to have a lock on the wheelchair lift door openable inside and out so I don’t have to get to the farthest place in the bus after taking my bike out from said door, and oh so super swank if it had a keypad.
We had a warm and fun lunch this past Sunday with Mme N and M D, friends from before my career changed to CIO and bus driver for everyone’s favorite non profit. Seriously, I had so many good times with them. Heh….. I’ve got a smile on my face right now as I’m writing.
