Quaking Aspen
Long drive from Flagstaff and it seems like most of it was in third gear. At 62-ish, which is basically where I drive, the bus is about 2100 rpms, which is low and means all the fluids and different radiators to keep things cool are not able to help as much since rpms govern the fluid’s velocity. So I’m told. Therefore, if the temperature crept up to 209 I probably dropped to third, which at the same speed is about 2750 and generally the temperature stabilized or even no joke dropped. Almost the same mpg @ 12-13. It feels like the right thing too.

Two solo bikers, one in a tough to see recumbent, plus a group of 4, spotted going east on Interstate 40. There are long sections with more tractor trailers than passenger vehicles.

The $5/night campground, the first paid, is quiet and all but empty.
