Five Stars
The Chutes is simply phenomenal fun. The other trail finding app has some more photos beyond the one below taken by yours truly honestly with smiling anticipation. Then there are videos too such as this one. Ultimately I rode down all 3 options and redid the first (that route being counter clockwise and the one from the video) for good measure. 50 Year Trail was decent for sure, though it is, as per the description, a genuine cross country ride.
By luck this is a wet winter which is making the trail’s soil even moist in places, providing for nicer grippiness. There are even a few actual wet stream crossings.

A very brave soul documented that being mapped in this part of Tucson is not necessarily the same as being rideable and reading about being shredded by cactus per the included below description of Baby Jesus makes me really appreciate the trail builders.
Starting from Sutherland, the trail disappears completely. The only way to navigate is to push your bike and follow GPS. Occasionally you come across a patch of what was once a game trail. Prepare to be shredded by cactus because this is pure Bushwhack. The bottom half is primitive but fun — if you like old school tech. I didn’t try it but maybe coming up CowPie is a good approach. Sutherland was a horrible way.

Yes, Tucson is indisputably a superb mountain biking destination and I haven’t even ridden CDO, what looks to be an amazing shuttleable trail with ok per the comments some legit work to be done.
