Moving On
Apparently we left the desert behind last night. East of Amarillo and into Oklahoma, with their vast expanse of rolling prairie, sure reminds me of the South Dakota and Wyoming countryside.
It is all green here; is that the norm? When we were in Wyoming, we were told that, during normal years, everything would be crispy golden brown already.
We have an ambitious goal today of getting to Russellville, Arkansas, where there is camping, a river and some biking. Mme Awesome was up and had the motor running at 9 despite our late bedtime, making our arrival a very real possibility.
My left ankle issue is really a left hip extension issue. Meaning when I cannot extend my left hip, my ankle is what shouts. With us trading driving and the deliciously fluffy mattress, I have a perfect configuration for my signature low intensity mobility work. No joke: the improvement is night and day.
Speaking of opposites, the Oklahoma section of I 40 has parts which have half white half black lane dashes. Yes, you can also find the more commonplace white only dashes too; that said, I’ve not seen this union elsewhere. Hmm…
