Time To Move On
First time cooking in the bus. It was that or stand in the on off drizzle, so that’s what we did. The dishes gave another opportunity to benefit from the tank and water.
I’m tired of this place. Either it’s raining or too swampy from rain which ended a day ago. Here at Mt. Snow, it’s drizzling and I don’t have the will or clothes to sit on a lift without freezing. Neither does anyone else apparently; the lifts are totally empty.
Along the way south, as we passed the loveliest mountains, we stopped at a hardware store to get a recommendation for where to score some maple syrup and what to do about the leak where water is added to the tank. See, the pipe and tank manufacturers appear to disagree on what is 1 1/4”.
I was shown a flexible slip coupling, and if it was an elbow i would have found gold. Alas, it seems exactly what I need is, in a word, unavailable in the grand total of two stores and the internet. May I please be proven wrong tomorrow.
Yes! We are now traveling with a gallon of Vermont maple syrup!
Right, the leak needs attention before moving on. Meaning hopefully I’ll get something in place pronto. Continuing rain means we’re likely to do some longer and more direct days to leave it behind.
Obviously you’ve all seen Silver Linings Playbook. Right? What do you know, suddenly we are actually in Kinderhook!
Plus we stopped on the roadside twice and cooked, without leaving the bus. Once for tea and second for chicken quinoa lunch.
