The Book of Crestonia, Chapter The 2nd, Verse 9

July 3, 2019 Facts Mountain Biking No Comments

Rode yesterday and today on the S Crestone Creek trails, one on each side, each independently weaving nearer, farther and at times to the other side of the creek’s fingers. Right out the door is the longer of the two and running on the south side of the creek (I dub thee South Side Trail). Note the SST does have a zzzzzz part through a good sized lawn. So subtract a bit for that. The SST continues higher up than I’ve ever been, turning around because I had enough. I certainly remember how with elevation on these trails comes more nutso tech to negotiate. If it makes it to Willow Creek Trailhead, that’s 2-3 miles of well graded downhill with just over 1000′ of elevation with a fine dirt road shuttle possible.

So far we’ve yet to drive into town save for the rug cleaner trips. No kidding: the ez bike/walk option is one of the nice parts of being here.

Taken across the little road from out the door.
