Two Wheel Time

Ok so Zeke can sleep. Omg like not less than 10 hours since The Departure. The issue is mucho sleep + slow breakfast = late start. Plus the expected trailhead feffing. And then I continued to experience the consequences of my inability to fill up at least a second water bottle let alone the big ol camelback. Aside from being parched, however, the ride was just terrific. It was at Tucson Mountain Park, one of the few places at which I’ve ridden in Tucson and assuredly remember as superb, a haven for folks who like techy stuff that’s not loco steep with always gorgeous and scary (think cacti) scenery that bites.

People here are wearing pants, long sleeves and I’ve seen jackets on too. It’s in the mid 60s and the sun is strong. Maybe for the stores? Because no joke the air conditioning is on.

The other thing is I am a major skeptic of the high elevation giving me any aid here at a bit over 4000 feet; Crestone is 8000. Unless only genuinely fit people experience the benefit. Basically I stopped hecka often to put my helmeted head on my forearm so-as to more easily huff and puff.
