Mr. Miyagi’s Lesson
The bus takes lots of sanding. That’s a solid fact. I started with 80 grit on an orbital sander over everything it’d reach. Then 80 on a sanding block for harder to get to stuff and I expanded from there. Then 150 and finally 320. The block is so good I didn’t pickup the orbital sander again.
80 on the block was simply too aggressive for most of the vehicle. Much of it would have responded just fine to 180 or 220. As it is, I’m left with more priming than I’d otherwise have had to do and pooped shoulders. Don’t be like Zeke!
Here in the hot and humid and working on the blacktop, I’m back to loving fruit. What actually makes for such changes?
Do tastes reflect needs? Looking at the aisles of what is essentially a combo of fat and sugar wrapped in plastic makes me think taste may usurp need vis-a-vis priorities. Some follow a spelled out regime hoping for happiness and health. I’ve certainly done it. Macrobiotics eat what is local and get to cooking. Is that the answer?
I don’t know, that’s for sure. Definitely I’m all about las fruitas; peaches, watermelon, bananas – it’s like they match the climate. Right now I am a believer.
The garage can’t take off the bolts until Monday due to the bodywork guy being on vacation. That won’t do!
The internet says grinder discs come in different thicknesses and there are cutting specific discs. I know the one which came with the tool was pretty thick. The one that broke was from a box of stuff and may have been damaged from the humidity or maybe too old. I’ll pick up some and see what happens.
